We have stayed at NIZUC twice in the past two years. It is the perfect destination for a low-key escape when relaxing is the only intention. When we go to NIZUC we don’t venture off the property often. We lounge by the various pools, eat, sip, and relax. It has everything you need. The staff is more than accommodating to whatever you need.
NIZUC Resort in Cancun is the perfect place to make a splash! From their stunning pools with tranquil ocean views to their private plunge pools and spacious rooms, you’ll find all the amenities that dreams are made of. And don’t even get us started on their delicious food – it’s enough to make anyone swoon!
The Spacious Rooms at NIZUC
During our first stay at Nizuc Resort & Spa, we stayed in the main building with a King Ocean Suite. This room was huge. It stunned me on sight. There was a wide patio/balcony facing the ocean and overlooked the still pond that framed the lobby. The bathroom was a studio apartment. I’m kidding but not really. There was a free-standing tub, a plush bench, a walk-in shower, a closet, a dresser, a TV, and a private water closet. As we were there for our anniversary, they left us a sweet treat and a bottle of wine.
On our second trip, the room was just as spacious but we opted for a room with a private plunge pool. The Garden Junior Suite faced the mangroves instead of the ocean. It was a short golf cart ride from the main building, pools, gym, and spa. They have all the in-room amenities and room service needed if you decided to never leave your room.
The Dreamy Pools at NIZUC
When you’re planning a getaway in Cancun, there’s no better place to stay than NIZUC Resort & Spa. Not only does the resort boast stunning views of the Caribbean Sea and lush gardens, but it also has three pools with different vibes – so you can choose the one that best matches your own mood. Each pool has the purrrrrfect lukewarm temperature that makes it easy to slip in for a swim. No shivering. There is a seamless pool facing the ocean with a swim-up bar. The adult-only pool is parallel to one of the dining establishments that serve fresh lobster! The third infinity pool is on the other far end of the resort, away from the bustle. It rests next to the Italian restaurant.

With a selection of restaurants ranging from traditional Mexican cuisine to gastropub fare, you don’t even have to leave the property to experience culinary delights – making it easy to stay on-site and enjoy all that the resort has to offer. From the poolside bars and lounges to the private beach club, Nizuc Resort & Spa is sure to be your perfect vacation spot. So come explore this vibrant resort and see why it’s become a popular destination for both locals and visitors alike! My favorite dish to TEAR UP was the fish tacos. I have not had fish tacos like this anywhere else. They are part of the reason I went back!
Taste the delightful flavors of Indochine fusing Asian dishes inspired by Mexico’s traditional culinary culture. The sushi and vegetable spring rolls sound simple but they were so fresh! It really made you lean back in your chair and toss your hair back in the breeze. The setting was so romantic and dimly lit.
The Havana lounge is the Cuban cigar lounge that provided mezcal tastings, live music, comfy couches, and several TVs playing sports. It is a beautiful vibe to hear live music and catch the breeze. I enjoyed the mezcal tasting. The tasting was super informative and fun!

La Punta Grills resides at the edge of the resort parallel to the adult-only hotel and the pristine white sand beach. When you walk in you see the lobsters chilling in the tank. When I tell you that grilled lobster was one of a kind! The fresh lobster was large and delicious. It had a unique sweetness to it. I heard the Caribbean lobsters are sweeter compared to others. Terra Nostra Italian restaurant was another snazzy dining option with fresh pizza. Yes, I meant to say it twice. We shared a pizza and lasagna. Every dish at this resort makes me throw my hair back and hum “Yesss”.
There are a few more restaurants we didn’t try. We spend most of our time at the pool ordering poolside food service and cocktails. The breakfast buffet is pretty good. Take advantage of the $40 buffet if you will indulge in unlimited fresh juices, champagne, and mimosas! I adore their buffet with fresh honey, omelets, pastries, and more.
The Service
The staff at Nizuc Resort & Spa was Outstanding, Sincere, and Helpful. Nothing less than Spectacular and Uplifting. The service was immeasurable. Everyone is pleasant helpful and accommodating. I love how when they see you, they place their hand over their heart. No one missed a beat. It was endearing. They offer golf carts to help you get around the property. There are staff members at every building that helps you get around. The spa is so relaxing. The concierge was extremely helpful with scheduling a ride to Taboo Cancun and the airport.
